The Levstik Trail connects Litija and \u010cate\u017e and combines sports, culture, ethnology, and environmental protection. The starting point is Levstikova Street in the old town center of Litija. It is marked with more than 80 information boards, on which you can read the entire original travelogue by famous Slovenian writer Fran Levstik (1831\u20131887). The trail leads through hilly landscapes, meadows, fields, forests and vineyard areas, where hikers can choose between the southern and northern routes, the latter once taken by Levstik himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bajc and Weiss wine cellars are located in the village of Gobnik. In Morav\u010de, hikers can visit the Resnikova granary from 1883 which houses a collection of old farming tools, and the house of Tona, visited by Levstik because of the local woman Tona. Every year on the second Saturday in November, the trail comes alive with a mass international hiking tour – Levstik\u2019s trail from Litija to \u010cate\u017e, accompanied by a rich cultural program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
