WHAT THE MINERS ATE/MINERS’ CUISINE
After visiting the Sitarjevec Mine in Litija, you can arrange to go to Kuhla if you want to eat the traditional miners’ lunch Sitarjevška mal’ca (crackling cake, bacon in buckwheat dough, apple slice, horseradish and apple mousse, seasonal fruit compote) and škratov šmorn. The mining-related traditional cuisine can be arranged for groups consisting of at least 10 people!
Taste the culinary specialties of the Charcoal Land, where the smoke from the mines still lingers today, in the Pr’ Krjan Tourism Farm. Fast food enthusiasts will love the charcoal burger, which contains local ingredients and even real charcoal!

“Pri Rozi” Inn offers traditional Slovenian cuisine, but they do also have more modern dishes on the menu. Their house specialty is venison. You can buy their meat products and enjoy them at home. The unique, comfy ambience is completed with a hayrack. The inn is also suitable for larger closed companies.
“Pri Janezu” Inn offers Sunday lunches and à la carte dishes from local, home-grown foods. At the inn, you can buy dry cured meats, and in the winter also pork meat. Pizzas and calamari are amongst the most popular offers, as all visitors seem to love them.
