Experience the authentic countryside of Gabrovka on a guided hike along Anton’s Trail. The program combines nature, spiritual heritage, local stories, and local cuisine—from a sweet welcome by the locals, a tour of the firefighting heritage and energy points, to a final get-together with tastings and a warm homemade meal at Resnikova kašča. The program is intended for hikers and anyone who wants a peaceful, authentic experience in the Heart of Slovenia.

Itinerary:

Gabrovka lies in the rugged Moravška Valley, 18 km southeast of Litija, surrounded by forests and sun-drenched slopes, where the Mirna River originates. The village has a rich rural tradition – in the last century, it was home to the Presad company, known for processing fruit into juices and spirits. Although the company is no longer in operation, the landscape is still dotted with numerous orchards reminiscent of those times. Farming, viticulture, and forestry are still an important part of the locals’ lives. Vineyards thrive on sunny slopes, and the grapes are used to produce the characteristic Dolenjska cviček wine. With its peaceful nature, friendly people, and rich cultural heritage, Gabrovka attracts visitors who want to experience the authentic rural environment in the heart of Slovenia.

Welcome to Gabrovka
