The GEOSS circular trail leads through the wider GEOSS area and includes the most notable sights of Vače and its surroundings. The trail takes us past the villages of Vače and Klenik, past an enlarged replica of the Vače situla and the archaeological sites at Krona with its prehistoric settlement. It ascends to the Slemšek and Makovec and ends at GEOSS – the Geometric Center of Slovenia.
The trail starts and ends in the village of Slivna. It is marked with signs reading “Krožna pot GEOSS” (GEOSS Circular Trail) and trail markers, and there are also brochures with descriptions available to help you. The trail is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to combine a walk in nature with rich history and cultural heritage.
